Get Fitted! |
The Perfect Fit
Many girls don’t realise that they are wearing the wrong size bra. Apart from looking bad, an ill-fitting bra can cause health issues such as skin, back and postural problems as well as discomfort and aching breasts. Fit Specialists
We recommend that you get “professionally fitted” for your bra with a Fit Specialist at your local Myer department store at least once a year. Bra Fitting Checklist
1) The wire (in underwire bras) should rest on your rib cage and never on the breast tissue, even at the sides.
2) The centre section (in between the cups) must sit flat against your body.
3) Breasts should not bulge or spill out from the cups on any bra, even soft cup bras.
4) As bras stretch in the back the more you wear it, a new bra should feel fairly tight and firm on the loosest hook.
5) After wearing, your bra should not leave any deep marks or lines on the body. GETTING YOUR FIRST BRA?
We’ve got all your questions covered!
|
Q When do I need to start wearing a bra? |
A Breasts can start growing as early as age 8, and don’t stop until your early 20’s. Regardless of your age or stage of development, your choice to wear a bra is a personal decision. If you’ve started developing breasts, it is important to wear a bra for support and to prevent your breasts from sagging. Be sure to seek help from your mother or a female relative about your decision. |
|
Q Why are there so many different kinds of bras to choose from? |
A Because there are so many different shapes of girls, with different tastes and requirements. The kissed range offers a great selection of shapes, colours and fun prints, plus there are plenty of undies to match! |
|
Q What style of bra should I choose? |
A Non-wired bras are best for growing breasts, as they prevent any potential damage to the breast tissue. Our kissed First bras are all non-wired. |
|
Q How do I know if I am wearing the correct size bra? |
A Our bra fitters are especially trained to measure and advise on the right size for your fitting. Measuring only takes a few minutes and won’t be embarrassing, we promise! It will ensure you purchase the right bra size for your shape. Once you know your size, it will make bra shopping so much fun. |
|
Q How often should I be fitted? |
A In the first few years of wearing a bra it is recommended that you are fitted every six months. Breasts will grow at different rates, so you will not necessarily be the same size now that you are in six months. If you feel like it bring a friend – fitting is free and a good excuse to go shopping. |
|
Q Is it normal for my breasts to hurt from time to time? |
A Yes it is perfectly normal to experience slight discomfort your body is growing and changing. | |
